Restaurant & Pub


Traditions Inn features personalized dining with a friendly atmosphere. The restaurant and pub are housed in a 1890s Victorian style house with stained glass windows, 10 foot ceilings, beautiful Quartersawn oak woodwork, crown dental molding, raised panel pocket doors, original mantel and fireplace, and ornate open stairway.


The Parlor has a sunny view of 14th Street, with open oak staircase, and foyer. Savor the delightful desserts displayed in the original French Dessert Cart. Capacity: 12-14.


Opens to the Parlor with wood paneled French doors or can be used as a private dining area. Dine next to the original fireplace with an antique mantel or beside sunlit bay windows. Capacity: 12 OR combine the Parlor & Fireside to host groups of up to 25.

Chocolate Room

The Chocolate Room is the original dining room of the Dickersen family. Illuminated by astained glass light the quaint room features gold glazed chocolate walls and a built in china cupboard that displays our collection of china, tea cups and pots.


An informal sunlit greenhouse with handicapped accessibility with views of 14th Street and the garden and gazebo areas. Works great for buffet luncheons and dinners. Capacity: 12 at separate tables OR 8 at one long table.

Gathering Room & Sunroom

Adjoining rooms located in the Maxwell House with hardwood floors, French doors, built-in bookcases, and fireplace. Comfortable chairs with hardwood oak table tops or table linens make this our favorite room(s) for business meetings, Christmas parties, family gatherings, and other large groups. These rooms are also handicapped accessible from the garden area. Capacity: Gathering room - 12 - 14 with seperate tables and 16 with 1 long table. Sunroom - 20.

Formal Dining Room

The Private Formal dining room comfortably seats 12 around a beautiful antique oak table,and is decorated in an inviting Tuscan style and is handicapped accessible.

Garden Area

Enjoy outdoor dining in our Garden Area on our tri-level deck. Gazebo seats six and umbrella tables seat six and two. Lower deck seats six to eight. A flower filled oasis with relaxing fountain and reflecting pond. The large fenced beer garden and gazebo area is connected to the deck area and is also handicapped accessible. The large garden area sports a second gazebo, patio area, umbrella covered patio tables, and large open grassy area. Enjoy the large garden fountain, palazzo and pergola. Perfect for weddings, larger receptions, alumni and family reunions. Seats up to 50.


Located in the restaurant, this was the original library in the Dickinson home. The pub, though small in stature, boasts a wide selection of imported and domestic beer, wine, and spirits. Try our famous Angus Milkshake, an original propreitor creation. Drinks served during restaurant hours.
